FAQs

Q. Are your holiday cottages cleaned thoroughly?
A. Yes, we pride ourselves on keeping all of our Derbyshire cottages spic and span. Each luxury holiday property is cleaned from top to bottom by our own Housekeepers who are each responsible for their own cottage.

Q. What time can we get into our holiday cottage and when do we have to leave?
A. We operate a four hour turnaround system for all of our Derbyshire and Peak District holiday cottages. This means that you will normally be able to get into your property around 4pm and leave at 12 noon. When you book we will give you full details. Remember our Housekeepers have got a lot of work to do to freshly prepare the holiday cottage for the next guests.

Q. What happens if there is a problem with the holiday cottage when we’re there?
A. Sometimes things do go wrong. It’s a property after all! Boilers can breakdown and guests can lose keys! Whatever happens, the local staff who look after our Peak District holiday cottages will do their level best to put things right as quickly as they can for you, but please remember they’re only human too!

Q. Who can we contact if something does go wrong?
A. Our holiday cottages administration centre is open from 9am – 9pm, seven days a week on 0845 4 60 20 20. In the event of an emergency occurring outside of these hours, please contact our 24 hour customer service team on the same number. If our staff are not able to help, our local Manager will be on hand to assist you.

Q. Do we have to bring our own bedding and towels?
A. No, each bed in the holiday cottage will have been dressed with fresh linen (duvets on each bed) prior to your arrival. We also provide towels for each guest.

Q. Can I smoke inside The Coach House?
A. Sorry, no you can’t. We don’t allow smoking in any of our Derbyshire or Peak District holiday cottages.

Q. Do you allow children in your holiday cottages?
A. Yes, we welcome well behaved children and can strongly recommend Derbyshire and the Peak District for a family holiday.

Q. Why do you charge me to bring my dog to your holiday cottages?
A. We charge because it takes longer for our Housekeepers to clean a property after a dog has been staying there.

Q. Do we have to pay for the gas and electricity we use at the holiday cottage?
A. No. When you rent our Derbyshire and Peak District cottage you’ll find that everything is included. We just ask guests not to waste power, as this will inevitably lead to price increases.

Q. How much do we have to pay for a deposit to secure our holiday?
A. You have to make a £100 deposit payment at the time you book the holiday cottage and the balance is payable 8 weeks before you go. If you decide to cancel 8 weeks before then we will return your deposit less an administration fee. If you cancel less than 8 weeks before then we cannot refund any money unless we are able to re-let the property (which is why it is important to take out Cancellation Insurance). Please read our full Terms and Conditions before making a booking.
